Excavation Competent Person
Have our professional OSHA-authorized Outreach trainer come to your site and conduct the Competent Person for Excavation Training course for your group. The class is based on the requirements of Subpart P of the Federal OSHA CFR 1926 construction standards for trenching and excavations. However, we also address nuances that may appear in state OSHA regulations regarding their excavation standards, where applicable.
Learning Outcomes
Understand the definition of a competent person and the role they play
Know the specific qualifications required for naming a competent person
Be able to correctly evaluate potential employees for the purpose of naming the competent person on site
OSHA Requirement
Our trainers are authorized by OSHA to conduct this training and students receive DOL issued student course completion cards. The OSHA Outreach Training Program is not a certification program. Outreach Training Program trainers, students, and curriculum are not certified. OSHA never approves trainers or classes.
